A commissioned piece for a dear friend, this painting captures her family’s journey, preserving their cherished memories on canvas. Inspired by Werner Brokhost’s style, I adapted his approach to create a composition rich with personal moments.
Set against a vast expanse of lush green land, the scene unfolds like a living memory—siblings engaged in table tennis and cricket, parents strolling together, grandparents sitting with their signature yellow Lay’s packet while others walk nearby. Their first yellow car stands as a symbol of milestones, while a grandfather’s circus act and a father giving bunny-back rides to his children add a playful charm.
Thick layers of paint encapsulate these fleeting yet timeless moments, with miniature figures floating within the textured surface. This piece is more than a painting, it is a tapestry of love, laughter, and the quiet magic of everyday life.
